Experience the ultimate wildlife experience and take a safari in Kenya, the land many refer to as the cradle of mankind. Kenya offers Africa’s Big five –elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, and leopard – and what better way to see these animals than taking a safari in Kenya with the Safari Village Online tour operator. You can choose which reserves you wish to visit or choose one of the tailor-made packages.

Fly into Nairobi and experience a day of this city’s delights before heading to quiet of the bush. You can start your safari in Kenya with a visit to the Aberdare National Park in the Great Rift Valley. Apart from the day-time game drives, you can even visit a flood-lit water-hole at night to experience some of Africa’s Big Five as they come down in the peace to drink.

Then continue your safari in Kenya the next day with a visit to the Samburu National Reserve, a great place to take in Kenya’s extensive bird life as well as its culture – you are able to visit a traditional village in the Samburu. Samburu might be a semi-arid area, but it is home to the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and the long necked gerenuk.

Your safari in Kenya could also include a visit to Lake Nakuru, home to the magnificent pink flamingo. You might think that the lake is coloured pink as the masses of flamingo cluster together changing the landscape into a little girl’s fairy-land.

Of course, no safari in Kenya would be complete without a visit to the world-re-knownedMasai-Mara Reserve. If you are able to go on safari in the three month window of July to August, you may witness the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra as they fight their way across the crocodile-infested Mara River. This is the ultimate wildlife experience.

In the late 19th century and early 20th century the person with an adventurous spirit could set off to the explore the heart of deep, dark Africa. On his journey, this person would encounter wild animals, untamed territory and cultures completely foreign to those of his western, European origins. Today, the person with the same adventurous spirit can explore the same Africa by embarking on Kenya safari tours. This adventurer will come close to the same species of game such as elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard amongst many others, will traverse the same plains of the Serengeti and will experience the same traditional cultures such as the elegant, long-necked Maasai tribe. However, unlike in the days of old, this adventurer simply needs to visit Safari Village Online to make it all happen.

There are many advantages to using Safari Village Online for your Kenya safari tours. They are licensed by the Kenya Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife so you can rest assured that they will conduct your Kenya safari tours in an ethical and professional manner. They run their own fleet of vehicles and negotiate with hotels, tented camps and lodges to ensure that they can offer their clients the best value for money.

So what sort of Kenya safari tours can you expect? You could have a tour of 3 days up to 11 days; you could visit the world-famous Maasai Mara Reserve only or include a variety of National Parks in your itinerary; you could expect to see Africa’s Big Five, many species of bird life, pink flamingos at Lake Nakuru as well as archaeological sites, traditional villages and luxury lodges or tented camps – whichever takes your fancy. Most importantly, though, with Safari Village Online tours, you will deal with born and bred Kenyans who are committed to giving you Kenya safari tours to remember for all time.

Kenya is a great place to visit if you are keen on safari holidays. Not only is Kenya home to Africa’s Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo – it also has many varied wildlife reserves. When planning Kenya safari holidays, you could plan your own and self-drive, or you could go to a reputable tour operator such as Safari Village Online.

The Kenya safari holidays on offer include visits to the Maasai Mara, the Aberdare National Park, Samburu National Reserve, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli and Tsavo National Park. The length of the Kenya safari holidays vary from three days to nine days, but tag on a beach safari and visit Kenya’s beautiful coastline to extend your Kenyan experience.

The ultimate Kenya Safari holidays arguably involve a visit to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This reserve is home to over 450 species of animals and from July to August you can bear witness to the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra from neighbouring Tanzania to Kenya across the crocodile-infested Mara River. You might have seen this is on a big screen, but nothing beats the reality of the stampeding masses in a fight for survival.

While in the reserve you could stay in tented camps or various lodges, both which would bring you closer to nature. Your Kenya safari holidays could even include a sunrise hot air balloon trip which gives you a new vantage point, or a trip to one of the cultural villages. These are home to the Maasai tribesmen, who cut tall and elegant figures. Experiencing another culture enables you to develop a tolerance for and understanding of your fellow man so important in today’s diverse world.

After visiting the Maasai Mara National Reserve, you would do well to visit the Amboseli Reserve. This reserve nestles in the foothills of the snow-capped Kilmanjaro – Africa’s highest mountain which tempts many an intrepid climber to scale its heights. A visit to Amboseli is also a must as it is known for its many ecosystems, affording you fauna and flora delights, so do include this when planning your Kenya safari holidays.

Think Kenya, think wildlife and safari holidays. Yes, Kenya does abound with wildlife reserves and Africa’s Big Five, but safari game-viewing holidays are not the only type of holidays you can consider when visiting Kenya. Kenya has a beautiful stretch of coastline along the Indian Ocean and what better way to relax than to make the most of Kenya’s pristine beaches. Your holidays to Kenya could see you visiting one of the Tropical Village Resorts close to Malindi, where you could relax on the beach, try your hand at water-skiing, marvel at the marine life while snorkelling or scuba-diving, or even go deep sea fishing. What you should remember, though, is that Kenya is a multi-ethnic land and that coastal areas are home to many of the Muslim faith. You should therefore honour the beliefs of the locals and exercise restraint when bathing.

Perhaps you are fond of a multi-faceted holiday. If so, why not choose a holiday package that includes a visit the wild-life reserves as well as the coastal resorts when planning your holidays to Kenya. You could visit the Masai Mara National reserve and spot the Big Five, or even witness the annual great migration of wildebeest across the Mara River from July to August. Holidays to Kenya need not be one-dimensional – you could even go from the beach, to the wildlife reserve to heights of Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain peak, snow-capped all year round. In fact, if you are a British royalist, consider a visit to Treetops’ Lodge, where today’s Queen of England went up a Princess and came down a Queen in 1952.

Birders also would do well to consider holidays in Kenya. Kenya is home to over 1400 bird species, including the magnificent pink flamingo. What better place in the world to marvel at these birds than at Lake Nakuru where these flamingos colour the waters pink, like a little girl’s bedroom.
Holidays to Kenya are thus a must for wildlife-enthusiasts, mountaineers and ornithologists who enjoy birds both of the flying and beach-bathing kind. Remember to consider Kenya when planning your next African holiday.

Kenya is a fascinating country situated in Central East Africa. The first world traveller benefits from holidays in Kenya for there is nothing like the call of the wild during the splendour of an African sunrise to restore one’s soul after the frenzy of life in the first world countries.

Planning holidays in Kenya is as easy as the push of a button. Type in Safari Village Online and you will have an array of choices on your LCD screen. You could choose the “8 days discover Kenya” option which would involve your flying in to Nairobi, then crossing the Equator (what an experience) and driving through rugged semi-arid terrain to the Samburu National Reserve. Here you would stay in a lodge, go no game drives, visit a traditional Samburu village as well as have the opportunity to sight the rare Grevy’s Zebra and Beisa Oryx.

Your holidays in Kenya could also combine the human experience of sipping cocktails on the balcony with watching wildlife drink at the flood-lit Saltlick Water-hole below – and who says that man is different from animals! You could also see how nature is able to provide splashes of colour to the usual brown and green African terrain: all you have to do is continue to Lake Nakuru via Thompsons Falls. This lake is home to millions of pink flamingos who transform it to a pink wonderland as they mass together. Imagine sipping your cocktail while gazing at his magnificent sight!

And if that is not enough, you will also have an opportunity to discover the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Holidays in Kenya are not complete without this experience as the Maasai Mara is home to a diverse range of game – the most of all the East African reserves. Apart from game drives and visits to the hippo pools, you can experience the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra from Tanzania across the plains and the Mara River to Kenya should you be there from July to August. Watching this fight for survival amongst the animal kingdom in Africa, will certainly put your frenzied first world-life into perspective – and this is really what a holiday should do.

The Masai (also known as Maasai) Mara Conservation area is the world’s ultimate safari destination – it is huge, diverse, has high animal density and has a variety of safari options to meet everyone’s needs.

The area is a reflection of what untouched Africa looked like in pre-colonial days, but fortunately it is now accessible to the 21st century traveller in such a way that you can observe without affecting. All this is two hours by air from Nairobi International airport or five by road.

The Kenyan Maasai Mara is an extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, making this area a free roaming wildlife wilderness larger than many European countries.

Not only does the Maasai Mara host the annual migration of over two million animals crossing the Mara River in a Darwinian drive for survival, it is also the home of the Maasai tribe. This sets the canvas for safaris of a lifetime. But to maximise the experience you need to ensure that you have professional guidance.

Fortunately Kenya has a number of long established and respected safari and tour operators that can guide you through this wonderland regardless of how much time or money that you have. The lion stalking the zebra or the crocodile lying in wait for the migrating wildebeest will do what they are genetically programmed to do regardless of your wallet or status – but the question is will you be at the right place at the right time to witness it? Let us be the right professionals to guide you on a memorable Masai Mara Safari.

Kenya has over fifty national parks and reserves making up an area of over 65000 square kilometers. The parks vary in what they offer, from Big Five to awesome birding and archeological and geological experiences. Choose a safari that best suits your pocket and time frame. The more popular safaris are 6 day excursions that cover two to three different parks and cost around US$1400 per person.

Besides the reasonable cost of Kenya Safaris the other advantages are a fair climate and that most of the parks are easily accessible from Nairobi either by air or road with trip durations of two to five hours.

The most popular area for safari in Kenya is the Maasai Mara Reserve as it is the site of the renowned annual migration of game (over two million animals) from the Serengeti and across the Mara River into Kenya. This takes place around September and October of each year.

Other popular reserves are Tsavo East and West, Samburu, Aberdares and Amboseli as they all offer the Big Five and some particular specialty.

For bird lovers on a Kenya safari, the Lake Nakuru National Park which is the home of over a million Pink Flamingos and more than four hundred other bird species must be on your list.

Mount Kenya National Park (a World Heritage site) offers amazing biodiversity. Here you will get close to large herds of elephant with the iconic snow capped peak of Mount Kenya as a backdrop.

Where ever you do decide to go on safari, you will meet excellent East African hospitality and service of international standards and have a wildlife adventure of a lifetime.
